The plan is an emission-free version of the Kangoo and a family
station wagon with electric drive. In addition, a Standfahrzeug will be
developed with electric drive and there will be a compact hatchback,
which is planned for 2012. The first version of an electric car was
unveiled by Renault as 2008.
At the Paris Motor Show showed the Kangoo Be Bop ZE, with the
abbreviation PA here stands for zero emission. But this model has been
modified for the introduction on the market somewhat. The engine now
only has 60 kW and has a maximum torque of 190 Newton meters. Instead
of the conventional circuit, however, we have here a sort of one-speed
transmission with a very fast reduction. Thus, the Z.E. has no clutch,
and accelerate smoothly. From the state he needs only six seconds until
he's 50 kph. Especially for the city such a car without a clutch can be
useful.
When the batteries Renault is working with the company AESC. The
batteries are here also lithium-ion cells, each of the 192 cells can
deliver 2.1 volts. The stored energy is placed at 15 kilowatt hours.
How to Be Bop can cover a range of 100 kilometers completely emission
free. To the start but is still working on the batteries so that it can
also create a range of 160 kilometers.
