New car tax rules 2009
With the help of the stimulus package - a comprehensive emergency
program 16 points - the German government wants to stimulate the
economy, while safeguarding jobs and revitalize and thus the German
Konjuktur.
One issue is the proposed changes to the vehicle tax. The new
system, all new cars will be exempted for one year from the motor
vehicle tax. For new and very low-emission vehicles with the exhaust
emission level Euro 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., the exemption will apply until
2010.
As is expected from the tax? The tax rate for Euro 5 vehicles in
line with the Euro-4-cars: petrol cost per year per 100 cubic
centimeters 6,75 Euro, diesel costs 15.44 euros.
Thus, the sales of new cars should be encouraged. But is that
enough? An example: A vehicle with a 80 hp / 1.4 L engine and the EURO
5 standard will cost EUR 94 in taxes. Buyers of large and heavy
vehicles will be better off, however: A BMW 730d with 245 hp will cost
463 EUR taxes. A purchaser of an Audi Q7 with 500 hp is adopted in 1852
EUR.
Someone buys a new Golf, it costs only 188 EUR in taxes. The BMW
driver will be given against 926 EUR. Ultimately, only buyers of large
cars will benefit from the new scheme. And do not usually have to look
to the penny anyway - at original price up to EUR 100,000.
Small car drivers are mainly due to the few toads but not purchase a new car, right?
